This past week flew by so quickly, and I’m sitting here this Sunday night feeling like I didn’t get anything accomplished! Looking back though, I actually got a lot accomplished this week!
Went and took the three hour glucose tolerance test this weekend. Having to sit there for 3 hours while starving was a pain. The first bottle I had to drink was actually kind of tasty; like Sprite. This one was twice the amount of sugar as the first test, and it was pretty gross. All four test results came back within normal range. So good news!
We also had a 4DLive ultrasound of baby Ethan. We got to see his cute little face and he was already making expressions. He did not like it when the technician poked and shook my stomach to try and get him to move. He also looked like he might have a big gap between his toes, just like mommy! We’ll get to meet our little boy in a couple more months.
30 Day Declutter Project
I’ve been making quite a bit of progress cleaning, organizing and sorting. This has created another problem with clutter, since now I have bags and boxes of stuff just sitting around the house. The bags are divided between sell and donate, so they won’t be there for too long. Tasks I’ve been able to complete so far are
- Coat Closet
- Under Kitchen Sink
- Laundry Cabinet
- Downstairs Bathroom
- Table Pictures
- Medicine Cabinet
- Purse Shelf
- Pots and Pans Cabinet
So not too bad! I still have a little over two weeks to complete the rest of my tasks, although this month is busy! We’ll see. I think I’m nesting so I may be extra motivated!
I spent about 3 hours this weekend dismantling our vacuum cleaner trying to resolve a clog. Our vacuum had slowly been losing suction, and this weekend I finally took care of the problem. There was quite a bit of carpet fibers, cat litter, cat hair and cat toys stuck in the tubing that was causing the problem. Of course, with anything I set out to do, this took way more time and effort than I thought it would. I had to remove all of the tubing and use a broom handle to get it all out. Of course buying a new vacuum was on my mind the whole time, but I’m glad I persevered through it since it’s working just like new now!
