My fingers and nails take a beating on a daily basis. Between caring for a 10 month old, daily chores, typing for my job as a social worker and as a blogger, my hands aren’t always the nicest to look at. Particularly my fingers. I’ve always had hangnails and uneven cuticles, and motherhood has greatly exasperated this. Aside from all the work my hands are doing, I just don’t have the time, energy or even desire to keep up on nail care. Which is why a quick cuticle oil rollerball is perfect. It takes less than a minute to apply, rapidly absorbs into my skin, and is portable. I keep one in my bathroom cabinet to apply before bed and another in my desk at work to apply as needed.

Get super soft cuticles with this lavender and geranium essential oil cuticle blend. Works wonderfully!

Avocado oil is naturally high in fat, absorbs quickly into the skin and enhances the absorption of other nutrients making it the perfect carrier oil for your skin. If avocado oil is unavailable, apricot kernal oil, almond oil or fractionated coconut oil may be used instead. Lavender, geranium and sandalwood essential oils chosen for the skin softening properties, and vitamin e for an extra boost of nutrients.

Lavender Geranium Cuticle Oil

The following recipe uses a dilution amount of 3%. Feel free to increase the dilution amount for sensitive skin, or decrease dilution for a stronger bottle.

  • 10 mL Rollerbottle – I use these clear 10 mL with metal rollerball – available on Amazon (affiliate link)
  • Avocado Oil – Available at most health food stores or by NOW Solutions on Amazon (affilite link)
  • 1 drop Vitamin E – I purchased mine from TKB Trading
  • 4 drops Lavender Oil
  • 3 drops Geranium Oil
  • 1 drop Sandalwood Oil – Essential oils are available at most health food stores or purchase certified pure theraputic grade oils from my doTerra store.

Add essential oils and vitamin e to rollerbottle first; then fill to top with avocado oil, leaving room to attach the rollerball top. Close. Shake to distribute oils evenly.

Apply to cuticles 1-2 times daily or as needed for stronger, healthier nails.

Bonus! Free cute label for your roller bottle tube. Measures 1.5 inches wide and 1.75 inches tall. Simply print, cut it out and tape, or print on a sticky label. Click image below for your free label.
