One of the things that many couples consider as soon as they find out they’re having a child is to plan a home move. There are many advantages to this, but sadly it’s a little too early for a move because you don’t want to add extra stress to your body and mind while you are pregnant. In fact, you should be staying put in your current location and wait until your child has been birthed until you physically do any packing or moving.

While you are pregnant, start making plans for a new home. Visit some open houses, speak with real estate agents and speak with your partner about the options you have. Write up a list of things you want from your new home and try to find the perfect house. It is a lifelong investment, after all, so don’t skimp on the essentials and try to get as much luxury in your home as possible. But without further ado, here are a couple of reasons why you should consider moving home while your child is still a baby.

They haven’t made any friends yet

As a baby, your child probably won’t remember much of what’s going on and they most likely won’t have made any friends yet. This is the perfect time to move because the most heartbreaking moment for a child is having to move away from their childhood friends. A lot of people remember their very first friend, so don’t rob your child of this memory by moving before your child is able to speak or make friends with other children.

You don’t want to move to a new location while your child is older because they’re going to be lost and confused at why they need to move. When you move, early, you also get a chance to find a new job, contact local carer services and even get used to where all the

Looking for new schools

One of the biggest draws to moving homes early is the ability to look for a new school. If you want your child to receive the best education you can provide them, then the only option is to look for a new property that is close to a prestigious school. You can search online for school reviews that are local to you, or if you’d prefer a much more drastic move, you can try to pick schools that are much further away but offer your child a much higher chance to prosper when they grow older.

They’re easier to manage

When your child is a baby, there isn’t much that you need to carry or take away during the move. When your child grows older, they’re going to have toys, computers and games to carry, taking up more time and space during the move. When your child is a baby, there are very few things to carry and they don’t take up much space, ultimately making the move much easier to handle.
