I love essential oils. I use them for pretty much everything; cleaning, baby care, personal care, to fragrance our home, you name it. I used to laugh at the saying “I have an oil for that”, but at this point, it’s totally true!

Carrier oils are the perfect way to deliver the benefits of a variety of essential oils. Explore carrier oil options with gio naturals gift set including Argan, Temanu, Jojoba and Castor oil.

With that, of course comes the use of carrier oils – oils that carry essential oils into our skin. Although some oils can be applied to the skin NEAT (that is, undiluted), others need to be diluted to prevent skin reactions. The oils don’t lose potency this way, and depending on the carrier oil you choose, can even enhance the effects of the essential oil itself.

I have a variety of carrier oils in my house now (coconut, olive, avocado, apricot kernal), there are still a ton out there that I haven’t tried. So I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to try Gio Natural’s Carrier oil gift set.

The set includes 4 carrier oils (Castor, Jojoba, Tamanu, & Argan) along with a 5th bottle for your own creation. Each bottle is glass with a dropper lid making dispensing the oil very easy. They come in a cute little box that makes this perfect for a gift for someone.

Castor Oil – Castor oil is rich in fatty acids and helps to support the body’s lymphatic system. It’s a great oil to target skin problems. It has been known to help start contraction for pregnant women who take it internally. It is a clear oil with a slight yellow tint.

Jojoba Oil – When I made and sold natural lip gloss, this was my go to oil for softening the lips and adding emoliency, however I’ve never use it as a carrier oil for essential oils before. Jojoba contains vitamin E and B complex, making it a great oil for the skin. It is a clear oil with a slight yellow tint; it absorbs quickly into the skin.

Tamanu Oil – I had never even heard of tamanu oil before receiving this set. It comes from the nut of the Tamanu tree. It is very nourishing to the skin and is great for skin problems such as acne, eczema and scarring it. It is a green oil.

Argan Oil – Argan oil contains vitamin e and essential fatty acids, making it a wonderful choice for skin and hair. It’s especially popular in hair care products and recipes, although it can also be used for skincare. It is a clear oil.

The set also includes an empty bottle to make your own creation, and yes, I have already made my lavender and clary sage labor massage oil in it in preparation of my labor next year. 🙂

This is a great little set to get if you want to try a variety of carrier oils without spending a fortune or having a ton of excess oil leftover that you won’t use. It also would make an excellent gift as well too, especially to someone you’re sharing essential oils with for the first time.

The Gio Naturals gift set and individual carrier oil bottles are available on Amazon.com (affiliate link), or on Gio Natural’s website.
